Drill pipes:

high strength and good toughness are required, usually high-strength steel pipes are used.

Hydraulic system:

corrosion-resistant and high-pressure-resistant materials are required, usually stainless steel and wear-resistant alloy.

Transmission system:

high strength and good abrasion resistance are required, usually alloy steel and ductile cast iron are used.

Control system:

relatively low material requirements, usually carbon steel, aluminum alloy and plastic.
