The main reasons for the unstable flow of the slurry pump are as follows:
1. Suction pipe or bottom valve leakage, or water inlet is blocked, which is a common cause of insufficient flow. Need to check the suction pipe and bottom valve leakage point, and repair in time, or clean up the silt and clogging of the water inlet.
2. Low voltage will cause the rotational speed of the slurry pump to drop, thus affecting the flow rate. At this time, the power supply voltage should be checked and adjusted.
3. When the pipeline leaks or there is air in the pump body, the air in the pipeline should be discharged in time.
4. Seal ring or impeller serious wear will also lead to unstable flow, need to check and replace the serious wear parts.
5. Insufficient depth of water entry of the bottom valve may lead to the entry of air when pumping. The depth of the bottom valve should be adjusted according to the suction range of the slurry pump.
6. If the slurry pump works normally after starting for some time, but then the current drops gradually, the flow rate is insufficient, and the problem still occurs after restarting, it is usually due to the accumulation of slurry or other debris in the pipe, which leads to vapor corrosion of the pump. In serious cases, the pump will emit a loud noise and vibrate violently. At this time, the forebay and suction pipe should be thoroughly cleaned, the length of the pipe below the elbow should be reduced, or the mixing device should be increased to minimize the slurry settling.
